This project is a competition for two-dimensional art (e.g. drawing, print, pastel, painting, and mixed media) and photography inspired by the gardens, grounds, and collections of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The objective is to collect high-quality artwork that celebrates the beauty and inspiration the organization provides.
Awards
Two $5,000 purchase awards will be paid. These two winning entries will become part of Meijer Gardens' permanent collection.
The Ray and Nancy Loeschner Award
The Ray and Nancy Loeschner Award is for two-dimensional art (e.g. drawing, print, pastel, painting, and mixed media).
The Ray and Nancy Loeschner Photography Award
Color, black/white, analog film, and digital photos are all accepted.
Judging
The Juror Panel will include professional staff and trustees of Meijer Gardens.
